Where is the ITV drama Deep Water filmed?
When ITV first announced that it had commissioned the six-part relationship drama Deep Water, the UK channel revealed the series would be filmed in the Cumbrian countryside.
For those of you not from Britain or simply unfamiliar with the area, Cumbria is a mainly rural county in the north west of England and is home to the Lake District, and Lake District National Park. The show itself will also be set in the Lake District.
It was announced in March, 2018 that ITV had ordered a six-episode series of Deep Water, to be written by Anna Symon, who worked on the Channel 4 drama Indian Summers.
Deep Water’s storyline focuses on the lives of three women, who live in and around the region of Windermere. The show is a modern look at family life and the pressures people put on themselves when juggling their busy lives. We’re shown how, in trying to do what’s best for their families, these ladies are capable of making some controversial decisions in order to keep things running and their heads above water.
We’ll bring you more specific Deep Water filming locations, plus cast details when they’re announced. With filming not scheduled to begin until autumn (fall) 2018, the series’ UK TV premiere date is not likely to be set before early 2019.
